It’s A Professional Thing. Roman Reigns Was Jealous Of Seth Rollins.

It’s the productive kind of jealousy. Wrestlers are a group of people who tend to be rather competitive. They know that only a handful of people are going to be able to be at the top level in the company but that does not stop them from trying as hard as they can to reach that point. Various wrestlers are near that level today, but one of the biggest stars was jealous of something his colleagues accomplished first.

Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by Sports Illustrated and talked about being jealous of Seth Rollins being on the cover of WWE2K18 two years ago. While Reigns was happy for what his friend accomplished, he wanted to be in the same spot. Reigns is the co-cover star of WWE2K20 this year, sharing the cover with Becky Lynch. He also suggested that every wrestler in WWE wants to be on the cover of the annual game.

Opinion: I can understand the jealousy aspect but this seems to be more in the mostly friendly competition mold. There is a certain level of prestige (and of course money) that comes with the spot and everyone in the company probably wants to be in that spot. Reigns and Rollins are two of the top stars in the company and it makes sense that both of them have been on the covers.
