They had plans. There are different kinds of plans for various wrestlers on the WWE roster. Some of the plans are more long term than short term, as you never know what someone is going to have ready for them. Occasionally a story will go the other way though and be little more than a short term idea to give someone something to do. That seems to be the case again with two WWE stars.

Last week, WWE announced that Liv Morgan suffered an injury and would be out of action, forcing Morgan and her partner Raquel Rodriguez to vacate the Women’s Tag Team Titles. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the team was never meant to be a long term idea and were thrown together to buy time as Ronda Rousey was out of action due to injury. There is no word on what Morgan will do when she returns to the ring.

Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes sense, as Morgan and Rodriguez did feel like they kind of came out of nowhere to win the titles. It wouldn’t surprise me to see them just come and go, as WWE didn’t exactly put a lot of time and effort into them. Then again, WWE has turned short term teams into a long breakup feud before so it really could go either way.
