Things aren’t looking up. Things have not been going so well over the last few months for WWE. There have been all kinds of problems for the company as the fans just do not seem to be caring for what they are being offered. The company seems intent on changing a few things to make it better, but that is going to take time. As it turns out, some fans are not going to have a chance to be convinced this weekend.
According to PWInsider by way of 411mania.com, WWE has canceled three hours shows over the next several days in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Danville, Illinois and Kalamazoo, Michigan. The reason for the cancellations is said to be “scheduling conflicts” with no more details being offered. All shows were to be SmackDown Live house shows and there is no word on what the scheduling conflict entails.
Maybe this was the conflict. Check out a big match from this week’s SmackDown Live:
Opinion: I don’t think I’m going out on a limb here to suggest that the “scheduling conflict” is code for “really low ticket sales”. There is no hiding the fact that WWE has not been doing very well with attendance in the last few months with their SmackDown Live television tapings being near disasters. If you don’t want to see them on TV where more important things happen, how many people are going to pay to see less important shows?
How bad does this look for WWE? How can they fix things? Let us know in the comments below.
