Uh oh. The injury bug has been strong in WWE this year with one name going onto the injured list after another. Some of the injuries have been worse than others but the worst of the worst have seen some big stars going away for a long time. There isn’t much time left in the year, but we might have another name being put in the injured list if things are how they appear.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, Dakota Kai suffered some sort of knee injury at an NXT show Friday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Kai was in a six woman tag, teaming with Candice LeRae and Kairi Sane against Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke when her knee went out off an unspecified spot. The referee threw up the X sign and Kai was helped to the back as the match continued as a 3-2 handicap match.
Kai has been on a roll as of late. Check out this great match with Baszler on this week’s NXT:
Opinion: It’s way too early to tell how bad of an injury this is going to be and we can’t guess about how Kai is going to be until we know some more about how serious her injury is. Hopefully she’s fine in a few days as she’s starting to gain some traction and become a bigger deal both in NXT and NXT UK. She has some great charisma and could become a star if she’s pushed properly.
What do you think of Kai? Will she ever be NXT Women’s Champion? Let us know in the comments below.
