They found a place. The WWE calendar tends to be a very tightly packed lineup. There are so many shows that need to be taken care of and sometimes there are a few more than the time seems to allow. While it doesn’t happen often, sometimes a show’s date needs to be changed to accommodate something else and that seems to be the case with shows that almost couldn’t be further apart.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Backlash has been moved from June 16 in San Diego, California to June 23 in Tacoma, Washington. This comes a day after the show was seemingly canceled altogether for the sake of scheduling conflicts with the next Saudi Arabia show, which is scheduled for June 7. The original June 16 show will now be a house show. Backlash was never officially announced for the 16th.

Backlash is the kind of show that has some potential. Check out this backstage look at last year’s show:

Opinion: In a way that’s a relief, as while I’m not wild on another show being added to the already bloated calendar, I’d much rather have Backlash taking place than not, as the Saudi Arabian shows tend to not exactly mean much in the grand scheme of things. Backlash might not be the biggest show in the world, but there’s a much better chance of something interesting happening there than at whatever is happening in Saudi Arabia.
