Someone has to go first. WrestleMania 35 saw more different titles changing hands in one night than any other in the history of WWE. That’s the kind of thing that literally doesn’t happen any other night and there is a lot of fallout left to deal with even a few weeks later. One part of that is the need for #1 contenders to those new champions and as of Tuesday, we have another one.

This week on 205 Live, Ariya Daivari defeated Oney Lorcan to become the new #1 contender to the Cruiserweight Title. Daivari has been a member of the roster since the beginning of the show but only recently returned from a lengthy hiatus. It isn’t clear when Daivari will receive his title shot against new Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese. This will be Nese’s first title defense.

Here’s how he did it. Check out the #1 contenders match from this week’s show:

Opinion: I can’t imagine this match getting to take place on the grand stage as it’s far from the most interesting option. Neither of the two of them are exactly thrilling characters, though Nese is light years better than he was a year ago. The match itself could be fine, though I’m not exactly interested in the build between the two of them. 205 Live is in need of some new talent, as what they have isn’t the best at the moment.

Who do you think wins the title match? When should it take place? Let us know in the comments below.
