That’s a little closer to normal. The wrestling world is in a completely different place due to the spread of the Coronavirus. Like every other wrestling company, WWE has hit the brakes hard as they cannot do much in the way of regular operations in the current situation. It could be a long time before that changes, but WWE is taking some small steps to getting back to normal.

One of the biggest things that WWE has to offer is a world class training facility. The Performance Center is one of the best wrestling facilities ever (and likely the best ever period) but it hasn’t exactly been in use recently, at least not for its intended purpose. The building has been holding WWE television events, but now the trainees are getting a chance to train elsewhere.

Wrestlinginc.com is reporting that new NXT students are now undergoing film studies with their trainers. The students have been broken down into groups and the wrestlers are watching older matches, which are being broken down and explained by the trainers. There is no word on when the wrestlers will be allowed to train at the Performance Center, though Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ plan to reopen the state would allow training at 50% capacity. It is not clear why WWE has yet to restart training.

They’re missing a lot. Check out what is available at the Performance Center:

Opinion: I’m not sure why WWE is keeping things slow, but there is a good chance that it is due to making sure they can enforce social distancing measures. That is going to be the tricky part for a lot of wrestling promotions in the future, but WWE’s circumstances make it even more complicated. Hopefully things can get better soon though, because that’s a big facility to not be in use.

Will the training sessions be helpful? How valuable is the Performance Center? Let us know in the comments below.
