Still not home. WWE has been making an effort to expand its international footprint in recent months, including announcements of several premium live events outside of the United States. That is something that has opened several more doors for international markets, including at least three such events next year. At the moment though, it seems that the biggest star in WWE will not be around.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Yes Again: Update On Often Missing AEW Star
Earlier this year, WWE announced that Backlash 2024 will be held in France, marking the first premium live event to be held in the country. However, WWE has released the posters for both Backlash and the SmackDown being held the night before and neither features Roman Reigns. While this could always change, there is currently no reason to suggest that Reigns will be appearing on the show. Backlash takes place on May 4.

Reigns is a star. Check out what happens when he is around:
Opinion: This is kind of Reigns’ thing these days, as he hasn’t defended his Universal Title in about a month and a half and he won’t be doing it again for about as long. You can only get so much out of that kind o a reign, but at the same time, having Reigns around does feel like one of the most important times. For now though, it doesn’t seem like Reigns will be around for Backlash. Maybe he won’t even be champion by then, but it’s still a big piece missing.
