He’s still good. There have been very few wrestlers throughout WWE history who have reached the level of John Cena. While Cena might not be the most universally beloved star WWE has presented, he has become as successful as almost anyone has ever been in WWE. Cena is now billed as the Greatest Of All Time, but it turns out that he has not been winning as much as you might expect in recent years.

This weekend at WWE Fastlane, Cena will team up with LA Knight to face the Bloodline’s Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. This will be Cena’s first premium live event match since WrestleMania 39 in April and his first tag match at such an event since 2018. Cena has not had the greatest success during recent premium live event appearances, as he has not won a match at such an event since October 2018 when he and Bobby Lashley defeated Elias and Kevin Owens. Cena’s last singles win at a premium live event came at Greatest Royal Rumble in April 2018.
He’s been around. Check out what Cena can do on the big stage:
Opinion: There is something to be said about Cena still being one of the biggest stars in WWE but almost never winning a major match. He will pop in and get a victory here and there on television, but he rarely has that kind of success on the bigger stage. A match with Cena still feels like a big deal and that will be the case again this weekend, as Fastlane is going to feel more important because he is on the card.
