No Bro? Update On Matt Riddle’s WWE Status, Another Discouraging Sign

Maybe next time? There are certain wrestlers who seemingly have one controversy after another no matter what they do. This can lead to issues that should have no impact whatsoever causing even more trouble for them. At the same time, there can also be major issues outside of the ring that lead to problems at work, and unfortunately the latter seems to be the case this time.

Earlier this month, WWE Superstar Matt Riddle accused a Port Authority officer at JFK airport in New York City of sexually assaulting him. Witness accounts say that Riddle was heavily intoxicated at the time and no charges have yet been filed, though the Port Authority is investigating the issue. Riddle did not appear on this week’s Monday Night Raw and according to PWInsider.com, he was not seen backstage as of 4pm EST. There is no word on when or if Riddle will return to WWE TV.

Opinion: This is starting to look worse and worse for Riddle as I’m not sure if he’s going to be back on WWE TV anytime soon. Riddle is certainly talented, but there comes a point where there is one incident after another and it catches up with you. That might be the case with him, as WWE, including its new owners, might not want to put up with the issues he causes the company.
