Run It Back? 51 Year Old Two Time Hall Of Famer Wants To Return To The Ring, Sign Contract

Back again? Retirement is one of the trickiest concepts in wrestling as you never know when someone is going to announce their retirement and the come back to the ring later on. A wrestler may have completely intended to hang up their boots but then change their mind later on. It seems that the situation has taken place again as a two time Hall Of Famer wants to return to the ring.

Last week on Impact Wrestling, D-Von Dudley made his return to the ring after a nearly seven year absence, teaming with Brother Ray to defeat the Desi Hit Squad. According to F4WOnline.com, Dudley appeared at an autograph signing over the weekend and said that he wanted to return to the ring on a regular basis and sign a deal with Impact Wrestling. Dudley, 51 years old, has previously dealt with serious health issues, including major back surgery and a stroke. There is no word on if Impact Wrestling is interested in signing him.

Opinion: While Dudley looked fine in his return to the ring, I’m not sure how well it would go on a full time basis. He did well in a match full of nostalgia, but how well is that going to go in the long term? That being said, Team 3D is one of the best teams of all time and Dudley was certainly able to hold up his half. If that is still the case, good for them for trying to do it again.
