And that’s a new one. The Superstar Shakeup is upon us with names being switched between Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live. This is also the chance to see a bunch of names called up from NXT. However, just because you’re getting the call doesn’t mean that you’re going to be going by the same name. That seems to be the case with a pair of major NXT callups.
This week on Monday Night Raw, the War Raiders made their main roster debut, under the team name of the Viking Experience with Hanson now known as Ebar and Rowe now known as Erik. The team wrestles and looks the same and were acknowledged as the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions. There is no word on what this means for their status as Tag Team Champions, though working both brands is possible.
Here they are with a better name. Check out the War Raiders’ Takeover: New York entrance:
Opinion: Just….why? Was War Raiders that big of a problem? They look and act like vikings so now they have to just be called vikings? If you don’t want the word WAR on the show, just call them the Raiders or Hanson and Rowe or whatever. Viking Experience is a fairly terrible name and there’s just no reason to have them go from the War Raiders last week to the Viking Experience this week.
