New Match Added to “Battleground 2017”

When rematches collide. Mike and Maria Kanellis made their WWE main roster debut at “Money in the Bank 2017” and earlier this week Mike made his in-ring debut with a victory over Sami Zayn. It was a tainted victory though and I think you know what that means in the wrestling world.

As announced today on WWE’s YouTube channel, Zayn will get his rematch at Sunday’s “Battleground 2017” pay per view. Mike won the first match when Maria distracted Zayn to break up the Helluva Kick, allowing Mike to hit a Samoan Driver to end the match in rather short order.

Opinion: I was kind of surprised that this match took place already and that we’re getting the rematch on Sunday. Kanellis winning the first match was the right call and there’s a good chance he’s going to win the rematch as well. Zayn really is the kind of guy who isn’t going to be affected by losses like this so there’s not much danger there.
