Almost but not quite. With the field set for the Mae Young Classic, one of the bigger questions becomes who was left out. Which wrestlers could have been in the tournament but were left off the roster for one reason or another? While that’s a hard list to complete, we do know of one name who was at least considered.

TNA: Taylor Wins The TNA Women's Championship

According to her Twitter account, former TNA Knockouts Champion Taylor Wilde considered coming out of retirement to participate in the tournament. She eventually decided to not pursue the tournament due to an ankle injury suffered during training. Wilde last wrestled in 2011, won the Knockouts Title once and the Knockouts Tag Team Titles twice.

Opinion: I always liked Wilde and it would have been nice to see her have one more match on the big stage. If she didn’t want to though, that’s more than fine and she can stay in retirement happily. I’m curious to know who else was on the list of potential participants and it would be interesting to see who else was out there.

Did you enjoy Wilde’s career? Who else did you want to see in the tournament? Let us know in the comments below.
