They have to fill them in. With such a short turnaround between Crown Jewel and Survivor Series, there wasn’t a lot of time to set up the latter show. That’s quite the problem with a show that is built around elimination matches and that’s exactly what we have with Survivor Series. The matches had to be thrown together in a hurry and that’s what happened this week.
On Tuesday’s episode of SmackDown Live, the rosters for both the men’s and women’s Survivor Series matches were revealed in full, along with two of five tag teams for the tag team Survivor Series matches. The captains for the men’s and tag team matches were announced as well, though there was no captain announced for the women’s team. Here was what was announced tonight:
Men’s Team
Daniel Bryan (Co-captain)
The Miz (Co-captain)
Rey Mysterio
Samoa Joe
Shane McMahon
Women’s Team
Naomi
Carmella
Sonya Deville
Asuka
Charlotte
Tag Team
Usos (Captains)
New Day
You can see one team come together all at once.
Opinion: I’m really not a fan of the way they’re setting these matches up. They’re flying through everything due to the lack of time, which is becoming a rather annoying issue. This was a show where fourteen people were added to a show in one night, coming after Monday Night Raw named several people the previous night as well. Hopefully they can pull it off at the actual show, but this is rushing things hard.
Which of these teams is the most promising? Who else do you want on the tag team roster? Let us know in the comments below.
