It’s heating up. We’re rapidly approaching “Summerslam 2017” with the top matches starting to come into focus. The majority of the card isn’t ready yet but WWE has certainly turned up the juice to start building interest before the major pay per view. That was certainly the case with a pretty stacked episode of “Monday Night Raw” this week. But how well did it draw?
Kurt Angle reveals Jason Jordan is his long-lost son: Raw, July 17, 2017
According to Showbuzz Daily, the show drew 3.153 million viewers, up 5% from last week’s 3.009 million and the highest since April 17. The show was the #1 viewed cable show of the night and was headlined by Kurt Angle’s secret being announced and Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns for the #1 contendership.
Opinion: These increases couldn’t come at a better time as we’re coming up on “Summerslam 2017” and things need to go up after the mess that was the last few months. Now that most mainstream sports aren’t a factor, WWE’s numbers are free to go up for a change. Things have been better too recently, making this less of a surprise.
Why do you think “Raw’s” ratings have been going up? What would make them go higher? Let us know in the comments below.
