It was nice while it lasted. Maria Kanellis and Mike Bennett have left “Impact Wrestling” after just over a year with the company. Both were fairly successful but there was only so much that they could do in such a short amout of time. Now that they’re gone, the two have started talking about their time with the promotion.

Bennett and Kanellis appeared on “Main Event Radio” to talk about their time in “Impact Wrestling” and what they thought of the place. Despite both of them leaving, they both seem to have positive thoughts. Here are their comments, with transcription courtesy of Wrestlinginc.com.

Maria: “It was wonderful there. We had a great time. We worked with the best talent in the world. They were fantastic and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was just time to go. We’re excited to see where the road leads us next. Maybe the moon. Maybe I’ll go back and be at manager at Jimmy John’s.”

Mike: “It was time for a change. Leaving all the talent was the hardest part. We’ll go somewhere; if not we’ll be living on the street in a box.”

Opinion: I’m glad they seemed to like the talent as they didn’t always seem to be the happiest over their year or so in the company. There’s been talk that they’re heading to WWE and while Kanellis would be remembered, I’m not sure if Bennett is a big enough star to really make that big of an impact.

Do you think they’ll head to WWE? Who do you think will have a bigger impact? Let us know in the comments below.
