The crossover could be on. We can’t go more than a few minutes without having something changing in a hurry. It might be due to a new show being added or something being moved to another network, or in some cases, both at once. That is the case for the WWE as we head towards SmackDown Live going over to FOX. This includes a new show on Fox Sports 1, which brings us to something rather interesting.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, CM Punk’s agent has reached out to FOX Sports 1 about Punk working as an analyst on an upcoming Fox Sports 1 talk show. While it is not clear if this is the upcoming WWE studio show, but it is a possibility. If Punk does work on the WWE show, he would be employed by Fox Sports 1 rather than WWE, though WWE may try to stop Punk from being hired. There is also no word on if FOX is interested in bringing Punk in.
I mean, his previous return was quite good. Check out Punk’s return in 2011:
Opinion: This doesn’t seem to be something that is likely to happen but my goodness it could be interesting to see. Punk certainly knows wrestling and knows how to talk, so putting him in this role could be fascinating. Now that being said, I have a feeling that WWE would put their foot down here as it might not be worth the headache, even if it could make for some incredibly tense television for a little while.
Do you think Punk will be on the show? Who will be the hosts? Let us know in the comments below.
