Down for now. There are all kinds of ways to start a feud between wrestlers and one of the most common is a surprise attack. Having a wrestler show up out of nowhere to jump another wrestler and start a fight between the two has worked for years and we saw it last week on Monday Night Raw. This time around, the attack has led to some fallout and two people are out of action.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Half Down: Monday Night Raw Superstar Not Medically Cleared, Scheduled Match Canceled
The main event of last week’s Monday Night Raw featured World Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley defending her title against Raquel Rodriguez. Late in the match, Nia Jax made a surprise return to attack Rodriguez, costing her the match in the process. Following the successful title defense. Jax also attacked Ripley. This week, WWE announced that both Rodriguez (whiplash) and Ripley (bruised ribs) are considered day to day with injuries. Neither appeared on the show.
It was a big impact. Check out Jax’s returned and the two injured stars in better condition:
Opinion: This is the kind of thing that makes Jax look like a monster, as she was able to run through two women at once and did so without much trouble. What matters here is having Jax running roughshod until someone comes back to fight against her. Ripley and Rodriguez could have some awesome feuds with Jax and right now we’re waiting to see when that might happen.
