On The Mend: AEW Star Misses Dynamite Due To Injury Suffered Over The Weekened

That’s not good. There are all kinds of reasons for a wrestler to be out of action, with injuries being one of the most common. Someone can get hurt at any time and be put on the shelf, as wrestling is a physical enough sport that things can get complicated rather quickly. That might be the case again as an AEW star appears to be out of action due to an injury.

Last weekend at AEW Battle of the Belts, the Don Callis Family cost Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara the Tag Team Titles in a match against Ricky Starks and Big Bill. This week on AEW Dynamite, Jericho revealed that Guevara was injured and was missing from the show as a result. There is no word on the nature of Guevara’s injury or how long he will be out of action.

Opinion: I’m not sure if Guevara is injured or if this is part of a storyline, but I do appreciate Guevara actually being off television after such a devastating match. There is no need to have him show up a few days later when you can write him off like this for a show to sell the beating. That is something you do no see often enough and it is good to see AEW doing the right thing here.
