I know him. There have been all kinds of wrestlers over the years in WWE and some of them have become some of the biggest names the company has ever seen. Those wrestlers are the ones who will be around for years after their careers are over, often popping up for a cameo here or there. That was the case this week, as a WWE Hall Of Famer made a surprise appearance.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: He’s Good: WWE Star Returns To The Ring Following Injury Scare

John Bradshaw Layfield showed up on this week’s NXT, appearing in a backstage segment with Josh Briggs. Layfield said that while he liked Briggs, he wanted to see Briggs being more of who Briggs really is. This comes after Briggs split from his longtime teammates, Brooks Jensen and Fallon Henley. There is no word on whether or not Layfield will make future appearances.

Briggs could go a long way. Check out his time in NXT:

Opinion: I’m not sure where this is going for Briggs but it could make for a change of pace. He needed to do something after the team split but I’m hoping it’s not some heel turn into an evil cowboy. Either way, more Briggs is a good thing as he has long since felt like someone who could go somewhere. That might not be the easiest thing in the world, but at least WWE seems interested in trying.

What do you think of the cameo? How should WWE present Briggs? Let us know in the comments below.
