Where did he get away to? One of the main criticisms of “Smackdown Live” over the recent months has been the number of commentators. Since earlier this year the show has featured Mauro Ranallo, David Otunga, John Bradshaw Layfield and Tom Phillips as a regular commentary team. However, that has changed in recent weeks.

Ranallo was missing from the show again this week with an explanation of him being out sick. This comes a week after Ranallo missed last week’s show due to the weather, which sparked some criticisms of Ranallo over the week, especially from other commentators. There is no word on if Ranallo’s job is in jeopardy but it certainly seems that something could be up. Ranallo, a very frequent tweeter, hasn’t made a single social media post in over a week.

Opinion: I really hope we’re not coming up on the end of Ranallo’s run in WWE as he’s been one of the better commentators for a long time. I’m sure there’s a chance WWE doesn’t like him though as he tends to focus on the in-ring action instead of being another version of the same commentator WWE has for a dime a dozen.

Do you think Ranallo is gone? Do you like the three man commentary booth? Let us know in the comments below.
