Another one is gone. Global Force Wrestling has changed a lot of things in recent weeks, ranging from the direction of the company to a large portion of the roster. A lot of new names have been coming in but at the same time, some of them have been leaving. Magnus announced his departure last week and now another name has followed him out.

According to the Wrestling Inc. podcast, Matt Morgan has officially left Global Force Wrestling. Morgan attributes his departure to the changes in the Global Force Wrestling taping schedule. He had planned on wrestling for the promotion on weekends but with tapings taking place during the week and the potential of house shows on the road, Morgan couldn’t make the schedule work. Here are his comments with transcription courtesy of 411mania.com:

Lashley, Bram, Eli Drake & Tyrus vs. Magnus, El Patron, Morgan & Adonis | IMPACT April 13th, 2017

“Here’s the deal. I made an agreement to wrestle with them on weekends, right? Where I didn’t have to leave my 9-5 job, anything like that. And unfortunately it just didn’t work out because they switched it and they started taping on week days and they’re looking to travel. So when I first talking to Jeff [Jarrett] about this, the idea was you know, you guys are 20 minutes from my house, you guys are there on the weekends. As long as you guys are there on the weekends I can do this.”

Opinion: Did anyone really notice that Morgan was there in the first place? He had two matches (one of which was as a last minute addition to a ten man tag) during his second run and neither of them were exactly interesting. Morgan is thirty nine years old and didn’t have the most success in his first run. I liked him back in the day but this run felt rather tacked on.

Do you think Morgan will return to mainstream wrestling? Do you want him to? Let us know in the comments below.
