That’s a different way to go for Hardy. There are a lot of wrestlers who have a difficult time figuring out what to do once they get out of the wrestling business. With so many wrestlers staying around for a good chunk of their lives, they have no backup plan. If they do not save enough money from wrestling, they might be in some trouble unless they find something else. One famous wrestler might not need the money, but he has something else to do with his time out of the ring.
Over the last few weeks, one of the biggest questions in wrestling has been about Matt Hardy’s future. His WWE contract expires on March 1 and there are a lot of places he could wind up. This includes staying in WWE, going to AEW, working the independents or wrestling for a smaller company. He certainly has suitors, but now he is doing something rather different than wrestling.
On Saturday, Hardy sent out a pair of Tweets announcing that he had officiated his first marriage ceremony, seemingly in his Broken/Woken persona. He announced that he had bonded the vessels in matrimony and then a gust of wind blew to make the arbor “broken”. There is no word on if this was a one off event or something Hardy plans to do more of in the future.

I officiated my first wedding today.
I BONDED these two VESSELS in holy matrimony.
When I pronounced them as man & wife, a gust from the heavens blew over the arbor, rendering it #BROKEN.
It made the ceremony PRACTICALLY PERFECT. pic.twitter.com/8U1r2zti5o

The Woken character had some legs in WWE. Check out some of its moments:
Opinion: While I can’t imagine this is something with a big market, if Hardy can have some success doing it, then why not? There are clearly at least some people who are huge Hardy fans and if he is cool with it, he might as well make some extra money on the side. The Woken character really is one of the most unique in wrestling history and some fans are going to want a part of it. Good for him.
