It makes sense when you think about the whole thing. Over the last two weeks, Paul Heyman has taken over Monday Night Raw. This has brought a few changes to the show, but not much in the way of fresh faces or names. There have been two notable exceptions though in the forms of the NXT Tag Team Champions the Street Profits. They haven’t wrestled yet though, and there is a reason for that.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Street Profits are not wrestling on Monday Night Raw because as developmental talent, they would be expected to lose to the main roster teams. Since the Street Profits are NXT Tag Team Champions, it would not help anything to have them lose so they are not wrestling whatsoever. There is no word on how long they will continue to appear on the show.
The team certainly has charisma. Check out some of their predictions, which were done live:
Opinion: I get the idea here, as even though the team could squash some low level talent, there isn’t much of a point to having them make the move to the main roster if they aren’t ready for it yet. Besides, if they do lose, it takes away some of the fun that comes with them being the entertaining hype men. Letting them do this is fine, though it does create a bit of an odd visual.
