The meeting before their meeting. Last week on “Impact Wrestling”, the main event of “Slammiversary 2017” was set with Global Force Wrestling Champion Alberto El Patron earning the right to face Impact Wrestling World Champion Lashley for the latter’s title. With about a month before the pay per view, it’s time to start the build towards the match.
On its official website, Impact Wrestling has announced a Champions Summitt where the two champions will meet face to face to kick off the show. This will be the first segment to air on the first of four episodes of “Impact Wrestling” to air from Mumbai, India. The title match will take place on July 2 at the “Slammiversary 2017” pay per view.
Opinion: This is one of your standard ways of setting up a title match and there’s nothing wrong with that. The main event isn’t the strongest in the world so building it up in a strong manner is one of the most important things the company can do at this point. At least they have something set in advance and are working to set it up this far away from the show.
