It’s complicated. The big story of the weekend was CM Punk’s surprise return to WWE after nearly a decade away from the company. Punk appeared at the end of Survivor Series as the show was about to go off the air. As expected, this has resulted in quite the varying responses, and now we know some more about two of the more extreme reactions after the return.

Following Punk’s return, both Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre reacted negatively, with Rollins being seen screaming at Punk and McIntyre reportedly leaving the arena. Fightful Select has more on both situations. McIntyre is said to have been legitimately upset but his issues are said to be “broader” thank Punk’s return. On the other hand, Rollins is believed to legitimately not like Punk but is heavily working with his reaction for something in the future. There is nothing to suggest that the two will have any problems continuing with WWE now that Punk has returned.

Opinion: This feels like part of a storyline in both cases and that wouldn’t shock me in either case. It still strikes me as odd that the two of them would do something like this with so many people watching, as it does not feel like the most logical thing. Hopefully everyone can work together in some way, as having Punk vs. either of them would make for an interesting situation.
