It came at the end of a long night. WWE is in a rush at the moment with all kinds of things going on. Not only have they just wrapped up Survivor Series weekend, but they have also had Starrcade. In addition to that though, they have to get ready for Tables, Ladders and Chairs in less than two weeks. That is quite a bit to cover in such a short amount of time but WWE is going to have to make it work one way or another. In addition to that they have their regular television shows, plus a little something after the shows are over.
There are a lot of big names in WWE but you could argue that the biggest full time star of them all is Becky Lynch. She is the face of the women’s division and won both the Raw Women’s Title and the SmackDown Women’s Title earlier this year at WrestleMania 35. Lynch has yet to lose the Raw Women’s Title and is one of the biggest female stars of all time. She was also in action this week, though you might not have seen it.
According to Wrestlinginc.com, the post Monday Night Raw dark match saw Lynch successfully defend the Raw Women’s Title against Kairi Sane with the Disarm-Her. This was Sane’s second match of the night, after she and Asuka defeated Charlotte in a handicap match. Lynch has yet to appear on TV since losing the triple threat main event at Survivor Series, after which she attacked the winner, Shayna Baszler.
The match happened not too long ago. Check out Lynch vs. Sane earlier this year:
Opinion: Putting Lynch out there to close out the night is a smart move as there are going to be fans who came to the show to see her. It isn’t exactly something that matters as much as having her appear on Monday Night Raw, but this is better than nothing. If nothing else it is cool to see something like Lynch vs. Sane, which sounds like an interesting match under better circumstances.
