I was surprised. With less than two weeks to go before “Wrestlemania XXXIII”, you wouldn’t think that a lot of changes would take place. It’s not likely that WWE would want to shake things up and not have time to build anything for the pay per view but that’s just what happened on this week’s “Smackdown Live”.
This week, the Usos defeated American Alpha for the Smackdown Tag Team Titles. The Usos had previously defeated the champions the week before in a non-title match to set up the title match. There is no word on whether or not there will be a rematch, which could take place at “Wrestlemania XXXIII”.
Opinion: I’m a bit surprised by the title change, at least so close to the biggest night of the year. American Alpha tried their best but there’s only so much that can be done with the titles when WWE won’t give them anything to do. The whole division has basically been the Usos and American Alpha for months now and the title change isn’t the biggest shock, though the timing is to a degree.
Are you glad the titles changed hands? Do you think the rematch will be added to “Wrestlemania XXXIII”? Let us know in the comments below.
