The next land to conquer. When it started last year, NXT UK was little more than another place to put some talent that didn’t have much else to do. Couple that with some European talent and WWE just hoped to do whatever it could to make a new show. A year later and NXT UK is now a pretty strong promotion, though they may be about to lose one of their bigger names.
According to PWInsider.com, former United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne is in the process of moving to the United States full time and will be a part of the regular NXT in the near future. There is no word on when he will be making his full time debut, though he has been around NXT in recent weeks, including appearing at Takeover: Toronto in August. Dunne is the longest reigning United Kingdom Champion in history, with a reign of 685 days.
Dunne knows NXT. Check out him making his presence known:
Opinion: You kind of had to know this one was coming as Dunne is just too big of a star to be over in NXT UK. After holding the United Kingdom Title for nearly two years, what else was left for him to do? He’s the biggest star the promotion has ever had and NXT could certainly use him when they move to USA. Let him show how good he can be and move him closer to where he belongs.
