He’s not around. The last three plus years of WWE have been dominated by Roman Reigns. After winning the Universal Title in August 2020, Reigns has gone on to have one of the longest title reigns in WWE history with few options seemingly available to take the title from him. It helps when Reigns does not defend the title on a regular basis and now it seems that will be continuing.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Reigns is currently not advertised for Survivor Series in Chicago on November 25. Should Reigns not wrestle at the show, it will be the first of the traditional Big Four events where he has not competed since winning the title. Reigns is currently scheduled to defend his title against LA Knight at Crown Jewel, with his next title defense scheduled for the Royal Rumble in January.

Opinion: I’m not sure what is going on with Reigns but almost never defending his title is one way to extend his time with the championship. At the end of the day, Reigns is the biggest WWE star and it is annoying to have him gone so often. The fact that he won’t be at one of the biggest events of the year makes it even worse and that does not seem to be changing anytime soon.
