There’s always room for a legend. The Mae Young Classic is coming up in the next few weeks and while there are several names already announced, there are still a few more spots available. WWE can fill those spots in with a lot of different people from around the independent circuit, but what about someone a bit more high profile? Say, perhaps even legendary?

According to a new article posted on WWE.com, Japanese legend Meiko Satomura will be participating in the upcoming second annual Mae Young Classic. Satomura, a veteran with 23 years of in ring experience, began wrestling in 1995 at age fifteen and wrestled all over Japan, as well as in WCW. She also founded and owned the Sendai Girls Pro Wrestling promotion.

Here she is against another high profile signee.

Opinion: As usual, this is one of the best parts of the tournament: seeing what big names WWE is going to bring in for a one or two off appearance. WWE is going to treat Satomura as a big deal and whoever gets to eliminate her is going to receive a major push as a result. That’s a nice bonus for a tournament as you can give the overall winner a rub, plus another one to whoever knocks off the legend.

Are you interested in Satomura being involved? Who do you want to win the whole thing? Let us know in the comments below.
