Part main roster but all NXT. WWE’s developmental system is a little weird. Unlike the traditional minor league systems in mainstream sports where an athlete can go up and down from league to league, for the most part, once you’re on the main WWE roster, there’s little going back. Every now and then you’ll see someone go back down, and that’s what happened a few days ago.

Welcome home (sounds like a good name for a theme song).

Tyler Breeze makes surprise return to NXT

WWE has posted a video of Tyler Breeze making a surprise return to NXT over the weekend. Breeze appeared at a show in San Diego, California in a one off appearance. This is Breeze’s second appearance in NXT this year, after he wrestled once at a show in Florida back in May. Breeze wrestled for NXT under his current character from 2013-2015, becoming a top contender to the NXT Title and scoring several big wins in the promotion.

Opinion: I’m really glad that WWE is doing this more often as there’s really no reason to not send someone down to NXT if you need a surprise or a little freshening up. If nothing else Breeze is someone who is going to pop the NXT crowd. He was one of the bigger stars during his time in NXT and having him back, even for one night, is something that’s going to work. If nothing else we got the old theme song again, which is always a perk.

Who else do you want to see back in NXT? Who from the main roster could be a big star down there? Let us know in the comments below.
