That doesn’t bode well. There are a lot of changes taking place in the wrestling world due to the spread of the Coronavirus. With so many things going on, some wrestling companies are being forced to make some difficult decisions regarding their talent going forward. This is the case from the bottom of the card all the way to the top and now we may be ready for one major change.

Back in January at Impact Wrestling’s Hard To Kill pay per view, Tessa Blanchard made history by winning the Impact Wrestling World Title, making her the first woman to hold a major promotion’s top championship. It was a heck of a milestone and different than what the rest of the Women’s Revolution was doing. Blanchard still holds the title about five months later, but things are not as great as they could be.

According to Fightful Select by way of heelbynature.com, Impact Wrestling and Blanchard are having issues over Blanchard not sending in promos for the current set of television tapings. Blanchard has not appeared since the Coronavirus pandemic began as travel restrictions have kept her in Mexico. At the moment, Blanchard is expected to defend her title in a five way elimination match at Slammiversary on July 18, but it is not guaranteed that she will be able to make the show.

The champ is missed. Check out Blanchard’s rise to the top of the promotion:

Opinion: I’m not sure how well this is going to end. It is no secret that Blanchard does not have the best backstage reputation and this isn’t exactly making things better. It’s true that she is stuck down in Mexico but it isn’t impossible to send in the promos that the company requested. This could end in a few different ways, but the prospects aren’t exactly looking bright at the moment.

How will this play out? How does this make Blanchard look? Let us know in the comments below.
