There’s the big one. We are less than three weeks away from WWE Crown Jewel and that means it is time to start getting the rest of the card together. There are already several matches set for the show but you can still see a few glaring omissions which need to be filled. One of those matches was taken care of this week and it should be a heck of a showdown.
This week on Monday Night Raw, Drew McIntyre challenged Big E. for a WWE Title match. Before Big E. could answer, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode interrupted and a tag match broke out. McIntyre pinned Ziggler to win the match, with Big E. saying McIntyre could have a title shot at Crown Jewel. This comes after McIntyre was banned from challenging previous champion Bobby Lashley, who Big E. defeated for the title last month.
This could be interesting. Check out both men in action, plus how we got here:
Opinion: I don’t think this was much of a surprise and there is nothing wrong with that. Big E. has not been the champion for every long and could use a few matches to help him establish his reign. Beating a former two time WWE Champion would do just fine in that regard, while also giving McIntyre one last hurrah on Monday Night Raw before he heads off to SmackDown.
What do you think of the match? Who leaves with the title? Let us know in the comments below.
