That’s a new one. Wrestlers do not have the best reputation when it comes to substance abuse. There has been a long history of wrestlers using various substances over the years for one reason or another and they have caused all kinds of issues throughout their careers. Every now and then you hear one heck of a crazy story and now we are hearing about quite the out there incident.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: New One: Injured 46 Year Old WWE Superstar Moving Into Different Role With Company
On the April 26, 1999 Monday Night Raw, the Undertaker attempted to marry the kidnapped Stephanie McMahon. Steve Austin ultimately made the save and attacked the Undertaker and his Ministry of Darkness. This included Mideon, who Austin attacked with a steel chair as well as a Stunner.
Mideon appeared on Road Dogg’s Oh…You Didn’t Know podcast and revealed that he was high on LSD during the segment. Mideon and Dogg were traveling together and had Sweet Tarts laced with LSD. Dogg was eating them and Mideon told him to stop, with Dogg saying Mideon would have to eat them to start. Mideon took some and went through with his role in the segment, saying he “nailed it’ as far as he knew, and saying “the lights were so pretty.”
It was a different kind of segment. Check out the segment, plus some of Mideon’s time in WWE:
Opinion: There is something interesting about seeing a segment that took place twenty four years ago with a very interesting new detail. That being said, it isn’t something that you probably wouldn’t have noticed before and that makes things even more impressive. Thankfully everything went well, as Mideon was fine enough to get through the segment despite some rather nasty chair shots.
What do you think of the segment? How was Mideon’s time in WWE? Let us know in the comments below.
