That’s money. WWE has long since established itself as the top wrestling promotion in the world from a business standpoint, having held the top spot for decades now. The company makes all kinds of money from a variety of sources and as a result, other companies want to work with WWE when they can. Now a former partner is reuniting with WWE and doing so for a lot of money.

Last week on SmackDown, WWE announced that a battle royal will take place at Summerslam, featuring stars from Monday Night Raw and SmackDown. The battle royal will be sponsored by Slim Jim and WWE has now announced that the deal will be the largest sponsorship agreement in WWE history. The deal will also include Summerslam being involved with Survivor Series, the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania 40. There were no monetary figures disclosed. WWE and Slim Jim previously partnered together with Randy Savage as the national pitchman, including the famous “Snap into a Slim Jim” tagline.

Opinion: Sure why not. Slim Jim has money and I’m sure WWE isn’t turning down the chance to get some of that money so both sides win. WWE has come a long way in making itself a more mainstream sports organization and as a result, more companies are going to want to work with it. This is another example of that and if it brings some nostalgia along with it, good for them.

What do you think of the idea? Who should be the next Slim Jim spokesperson? Let us know in the comments below.
