Since he can’t stay away. Last year over WrestleMania 33 weekend, Kurt Angle was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Since then though, he’s still wrestled every now and then, including in a few big matches here and there. His most recent match was a loss to Drew McIntyre on Monday Night Raw where Angle had to tap out to his own ankle lock. You knew that was leading somewhere, and now we have an idea where that might be.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Angle seems to be coming back to face McIntyre in a top feud. Angle hasn’t been seen since losing to McIntyre on November 5, 2018 and there is currently no word on when he is going to be coming back either to the ring or television. McIntyre is currently scheduled to face Finn Balor at TLC later this month.
Well there’s only one thing that can be put here. Check out the Angle vs. McIntyre match that set everything up:
Opinion: I get the idea here, but I really don’t need to see Angle wrestle again. He’s way beyond being past his prime and there’s little need to see him get in the ring. You can let him go out there and talk all you want, but having him look like he does in the ring isn’t working anymore. Just let him go and be a trainer or whatever else he can do but hold him out of the ring before he hurts himself again.
