Ouch again. I can’t remember the last time there were so many injuries going on in wrestling. Maybe it’s the more modern style or maybe it’s the amount of shows that are taking place but it seems like there is a big injury almost every week now. It can happen to anyone at any time and it seems to have taken place again at Sunday night’s Slammiversary event.
On Sunday at Slammiversary, LAX’s Santana seemed to hurt his knee or ankle during a triple threat tag team match. During the match, Santana was on top for LAX’s Street Sweeper finisher when he was shoved off and landed hard on the ramp. Santana immediately went to the floor and commentary called for the medical staff to come help him. The match ended shortly after Santana went down and he was helped to the back. There is no word on how severe the injury is.
The team is something special when they’re healthy. Check them out on one of their better outings:
Opinion: Hopefully this isn’t as bad as it seems but the way Santana went down and needed help doesn’t give me the best hope. LAX is one of the best teams in the world and there is a good chance that they could pick their spot as soon as their Impact contracts are up. They would be a great fit in AEW but if Santana is out for an extended period of time, that’s going to be on hold.
How good is LAX? Would they go to AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
