It has to end sometime. You often hear about people being a natural in wrestling. The people who actually fit the description are rather rare, but they do exist. At the moment, one of the very few of them is Ronda Rousey, who made her debut earlier this year at WrestleMania 34 and already looks like she’s been doing this for the better part of ever. She’s undefeated, but that has to change at some point.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Live, WWE is likely interested in wanting to get rid of Rousey’s winning streak because WWE isn’t a fan of having people with undefeated streaks. At the moment there is no word on when Rousey, the current Raw Women’s Champion, will lose her first match. Her next title defense is scheduled for TLC later this month.
Rousey has a lot of people gunning for her. Here are some of them coming after her this week on Monday Night Raw:
Opinion: There’s certainly something to be said about having Rousey lose at some point, but I hope it’s not something like what happened to Drew McIntyre this week on Monday Night Raw. I don’t see the point in having someone lose for the sake of losing, especially when it’s a talent like Rousey. A big part of her aura is not being defeated and that doesn’t need to change anytime soon.
