Hang On A Second? The Seth Rollins vs. The Fiend Universal Title Match May Not Be Taking Place.

So it’s not set in stone yet? Over the last few weeks, WWE has been building towards Seth Rollins vs. the Fiend for Rollins’ Universal Title at Hell in a Cell in October. This even overshadowed another pay per view main event when Rollins defended against Braun Strowman at Clash Of Champions. The match seems ready to go, but there might be one last monkey wrench.

As announced on WWE.com, there will be a fatal five way match on this week’s Monday Night Raw with the winner facing Rollins for the title on next week’s Monday Night Raw. The match will consist of Rey Mysterio, Ricochet, AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Robert Roode. While not confirmed, it would appear that if a new champion is crowned, they would go on to face the Fiend. The title match is taking place to celebrate the season premiere of Monday Night Raw.

Opinion: This sounds like a way for the Fiend to take out someone a little more modern than all of the legends and there is nothing wrong with that. Rollins could have a good match with any of these people and it’s nice to see Roode get in there to advance on him pinning Rollins at Clash Of Champions. Now just don’t screw the Fiend up and we’ll all be fine.
