That’s serious. Wrestlers do a lot of damage to their bodies throughout the course of their careers and unfortunately there is only so much that can be done to stop that. It takes a large toll on their physical status and at some point it catches up with them. On top of that, there are issues that come after their career is over, and now a former WWE star is dealing with some serious trouble.

Former WWE and Impact Wrestling star Matt Morgan has posted a message to Twitter, asking for prayers as he gets ready to undergo back surgery. Morgan explained that he originally hurt his back in 2002 and developed an opioid addiction to deal with the pain. While he is now clean and sober, Morgan injured himself again playing basketball, to the point where his left foot is going numb. On the advice of surgeons, he is expected to undergo surgery this week. Morgan last wrestled in 2019, having ended his full time in-ring career in 2014. Since retiring, Morgan has participated in local politics in Longwood, Florida.

Opinion: That is a horrible situation and hopefully everything winds up working out for Morgan. Losing the feeling in your foot is not exactly great news but it also sounds like something that could lead to a much bigger problem down the road. Morgan was a big man who did not have a ton of injuries throughout his career and it would be great if all of this is resolved through the operation.
