That might be it. There are very different ways to present wrestling and some of them are a lot more unique than others. While you can see a weekly television broadcast from several companies, you rarely get to see a live event with no cameras. It can be a special treat for fans, but now it seems that one company might be getting rid of their live events in favor of something else.

AEW has announced that Collision, its third weekly series, will debut on Saturday night, June 17. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the introduction of Collision could mean the end of AEW’s House Rules live events, though this is NOT confirmed. At the moment, AEW is not listing any more House Rules events, though there is always the chance that more could be added.

AEW has done a lot with a variety of shows. Check out some of their offerings:

Opinion: I’m not sure what to make of this, as you would think AEW would know that Collision has been coming for a long time. If that is the case, why introduce the House Rules events at all? There have only been a handful of them over the course of less than three months, so unless they were an experiment, I’m really not sure I get the thinking in dropping them so soon.

What do you think of the change? Should AEW run live events? Let us know in the comments below.
