Back in the dark ages. The modern women’s division has us completely spoiled, at least compared to the old days. Until the middle of 2015, the WWE women’s division left a lot to be desired. It was a miracle if the women were allowed five minutes for a match but more often than not it would be a minute long at best. Things would also often include several women being thrown into a big match without much time for a story of any real kind as the goal was just to get them on the show. Things are better now, but that doesn’t mean they used to be this good.
Unfortunately, there’s proof.
Remember the show? Here’s a full review.
Opinion: The women were in a weird place at this point as they didn’t have many stars worth anything. McCool and Layla were getting over as Laycool and Kelly Kelly would wind up being a big star, but there’s only so much you can do with so little time. At least they were trying at times, but the numbers caught up with them. It also didn’t help to have ten women in a match at once, as there’s just nothing you can do to make that work. It’s a nothing match, but also a way to make you appreciate what you have today.
Who was the best of these ten? How much better does this make the Women’s Revolution seem? Let us know in the comments below.
