Now take your time….and it’s already over. One of the most important things about a wrestling show is the ending. After you’ve been sitting around for a long time, you need something big to close things out. It might be something exciting or it might just be a big name, but it needs to work. Sometimes the key is the speed, and that was the case tonight after “Smackdown Live” and “205 Live” went off the air.
Here’s the full dark match in its entirety.
Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal Smackdown Dark Match 2/27/18
The post show dark match featured Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal. These two fought several times over the last year with Mahal often getting the better of Orton. That wasn’t the case this time though, as Mahal grabbed a microphone to yell at the audience, only to walk into an RKO for the pin in less than a minute. Orton had appeared in a backstage segment on “Smackdown Live” while Mahal did not appear.
Opinion: Now that’s how you send the fans home happy. Orton might not be the most exciting wrestler in the world anymore but the people are going to cheer to see Mahal lose, especially n a match this short and definitive. Sometimes the simplest route is best and that’s the case here as well.
