One down, two to come. The big match at the upcoming “Survivor Series 2017” will see a “Monday Night Raw” team facing off against a “Smackdown Live” team. That means we need five men per team and we have less than a month to put them together. However, we already know one of the blue guys and we’ll know two more in a week.
This week on “Smackdown Live”, Randy Orton defeated Sami Zayn to earn a spot on the team. In addition to this, two qualifying matches were announced for next week’s show. First up will be Kevin Owens facing Shinsuke Nakamura and the other will see Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler in a 2/3 falls match.
Here’s how Orton got there.
Orton vs. Zayn - Winner Joins Team SmackDown at Survivor Series: SmackDown LIVE, Oct. 24, 2017
Opinion: I like the idea of making the wrestlers work for the spots, but I could go for something more interesting than another match between Roode and Ziggler. They’re just not interesting against each other and that’s all there is to it. Owens vs. Nakamura is more interesting, but it would make sense to have Owens off the team, allowing he and Zayn to put something together.
Who do you want on the team? Which team do you expect to win? Let us know in the comments below.
