Getting to know you. This weekend, the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament will be held in Blackpool, England and will feature sixteen of the best talents the UK has to offer. There’s a good chance you haven’t heard of all the competitors though and that’s where WWE comes in. They’ve released biographies on all sixteen competitors and we’ve got them all for you.

Mark Andrews

Height: 5’8”
Weight: 160 lbs.
From: Cardiff, Wales
Signature Move: Shooting Star Press

When Mark Andrews hits the ring, one thing is clear: It’s time to fly.

Inspired by the likes of Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels, Andrews is a high-flyer of the finest caliber. With a picture-perfect Shooting Star Press and standing moonsault among the many dazzling aerial attacks in his arsenal, Andrews’ unique skillset makes him stand out from the grapplers and brawlers in the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament.

Andrews is a bit of a renaissance man, counting videography, video editing, graphic design and clothing design among his many skills. Plus, he’s the bassist and vocalist in the Welsh pop-punk outfit Junior. Come January 15, Mark Andrews will be looking to add one more title to that long list: WWE United Kingdom Champion.

Danny Burch

Height: 6’0”
Weight: 190 lbs.
From: London
Finishing Move: The London Bridge

Combine British strong-style wrestling with a hooligan’s temperament and you get Danny Burch, one of the meanest, toughest grapplers in the U.K. The 14-year veteran is all too happy to rip off heads with his screaming European uppercuts or dent skulls with his right cross, never mind drop overwhelmed foes with a draping DDT known as the London Bridge.

Burch may be a familiar face to fans of NXT, having competed there full-time in 2013-2014. Though he has appeared sporadically inside the yellow ropes since then, bringing the fight to Superstars like Kevin Owens and Apollo Crews, the Londoner has continued to advance his already top-shelf game far and wide, competing against the best unsigned talent in the U.K., the U.S., Germany and beyond. Will the years of hard-earned experience prove to be mere stepping stones on his way to winning the WWE United Kingdom Championship?

Trent Seven

Height: 5’10”
Weight: 210 lbs.
From: Wolverhampton, England
Signature Move: Red Right Hand

Trent Seven may look more like a character in a Guy Ritchie film than a wrestler, but the mustachioed grappler may be entering the WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament as a favorite to win the whole thing.

Though he’s one of the older competitors in the field at 35 years old, Seven has only competed for eight years, and therefore has a lot less wear and tear on his body than his fellow UKCT entrants. He calls it having “an older head on younger, very well-defined shoulders.”

Employing a hard-hitting offense he dubs “British Strong Style,” the Wolverhampton native hopes to clobber the opposition with his Red Right Hand on the road to becoming WWE’s first-ever United Kingdom Champion.

H.C. Dyer

Height: 5’11”
Weight: 213 lbs.
From: Cambridge, England
Signature Move: Ripcord Blue Thunder Bomb

Despite a fair share of mat technicians and technical grapplers vying to become the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion, H.C. Dyer needs only his fists to pummel the opposition into submission.

Hailing from Cambridge, England, this brazen 20-year-old has used his natural striking abilities to pick up his fair share of victories in the past. And not only does he make winning look easy, but Dyer claims he rarely needs to put forth an effort. He’s just that good.

The WWE United Kingdom Championship Tournament gives Dyer the opportunity to show the entire world what he’s capable of when he’s performing at the highest level possible. However, don’t mistake his lofty ambitions to triumph in this tournament for passion: He’s in it for the money.
