Power up. Wrestling fans love to argue about things. It’s just coded into their DNA at this point. You can argue the best match, the best talker, the best show, and of course the best wrestler. As luck would have it, a rather big sports media outlet has decided to get in on the discussion as well. With WrestleMania 34 in the rear view mirror, it’s time to have a bit more scientifically set up list.

The #1 pick is rather phenomenal:  AJ Styles

AJ Styles comments on a potential Raw dream match: Exclusive, April 16, 2018

ESPN has released its latest set of WWE Power Rankings, looking at the current most valuable wrestlers in WWE. The numbers take into account the latest WrestleMania results, as well as the changes that have taken place since including this week’s Superstar Shakeup. These are the first rankings since March 16, which also saw AJ Styles at #1 in the rankings.

Here is the complete list:

#1 AJ Styles
#2 Braun Strowman
#3 Daniel Bryan
#4 Ronda Rousey
#5 Seth Rollins
#6 The Miz
#7 Brock Lesnar
#8 Roman Reigns
#9 Charlotte Flair
#10 Nia Jax

Asuka, John Cena, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have fallen from the list.  An Honorable Mention section includes Carmella, Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe and The Bludgeon Brothers.

WWE has their own power rankings, which you can see right here.

Opinion: There’s no right or wrong way to go about something like this but that doesn’t make it any less fun. You can go with so many different lines of thinking about this and that could get you several different answers about who the best wrestler at the moment is. For instance, Nakamura not being in the top ten when he’s still going after Styles makes me think he’s a bit stronger than that, but there’s an argument to be made against it. That opens so many new doors and can make for a very fun discussion.

Who do you think should be #1 on this list? Should anyone else have been dropped? Let us know in the comments below.
