Not so hot. As usual, things continue to be up and down for Impact Wrestling. This weekend, they’ll present their first annual Redemption pay per view, their first regular pay per view since Bound For Glory 2017 in November of last year. At the same time though, they’ve lost their top heel as Alberto El Patron walked out on the company, taking his pay per view main event spot with her. Now though, a new main event has been set via this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling. So how much of an audience did they draw?

According to 411mania.com, this week’s episode of Impact Wrestling drew a .09 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 373,000 viewers. These numbers are down 11% and 2% respectively from last week’s .11 demographic rating and 381,000 viewers. This week’s show was headlined by Austin Aries vs. Fenix vs. Pentagon Jr. from the Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground event from WrestleCon weekend. The match will be held again, this time for the Impact Wrestling World Title, at Redemption.

Opinion: It’s looking more and more like the lower numbers from two weeks ago were just a fluke. If that’s the case, things are still looking up for the promotion. Now though, the question is how things go when we’re done with the pay per view and have to move on to something else. The promotion still isn’t in a great place but at least they’re getting somewhere positive for a change. If they can do that without El Patron, they’re certainly doing something right.
