Hopefully it lasts a bit longer this time. Once of the more interesting stories of the latter half of 2016 was waiting on Emmalina to FINALLY arrive. We saw the vignettes for the better part of six months before she finally showed up. That appearance lasted all of a single night before Emmalina debuted, promising the return of Emma.
The return took place tonight at “Monday Night Raw” as Emma returned in a six woman tag, teaming with Charlotte and Nia Jax to face the team of Bayley, Sasha Banks and Dana Brooke. Allegedly,
Emmalina was dropped due to not putting enough effort into the character, though it could still be used in the future for someone else. It would seem that Emma is a heel again as she was in her heel gear and on the heel team.
Opinion: Can we just keep her this way? Emma is perfectly fine as a wrestler and was getting a lot better in the ring before that injury derailed her last year. Emmalina was one of the worst ideas in a good while as it felt like a call back to the 90s, which are now basically the dark ages of women’s wrestling. Just let her be the character that was getting over and be done with it.
